Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter (born July 23rd 1970) is an American actor from America. She played Cordelia Chase in the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She was also in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas and Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell and Lacy in The Lying Game (2012–2013 strong>).
Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada) as the daughter of Christine Carpenter who is an employee at a bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas;[6] she was also part of a group of dancers and singers that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was nine years old.
When Carpenter was 15 years old, her family relocated to Rosarito Beach, Baja California in Mexico, and later relocated to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. [2][failed verification] Following graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. Carpenter returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics teacher, and property management. In 1991, she was employed as a cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers football team In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.
When she was swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male buddies were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to subdue them with a gun. Both Hubbard Jr. and her fellow swimmers were shot in the struggle. Both were able to escape. Hubbard was detained and convicted. He was sentenced to 56 years imprisonment for a string of rapes. Carpenter brought Hubbard's police-issue flashlight to the beach which he had left at the scene and the flashlight became an important piece of evidence used against him.
Carpenter was ranked No. Carpenter was ranked No. 31 on the AskMen's Top 99 desirable women 2002[30[30. 44 on their 2005 List. Carpenter said that she does not consider herself the most sexy of icons despite this. Carpenter was featured on the cover of Playboy magazine's June issue in 2004.
